+ What is the Intel® Brand Advantage Program?

The Intel® Brand Advantage Program is designed to help businesses differentiate their intelligent, connected products through co-branding with one of the world’s most recognized brands known for delivering performance leadership, innovation, quality, and compatibility—Intel.

+ Why is Intel extending its brand to devices outside of the PC?

Multiple product categories are undergoing a transformation to become more intelligent and connected, including TVs, in-vehicle infotainment systems, handhelds and more. It’s time to identify and communicate information about these new classes of smart and connected devices to buyers.

+ Are there market development funds associated with the Intel® Brand Advantage Program?

No, there are no funds associated with the Intel® Brand Advantage Program; it is a brand licensing program.

+ What benefits does the Intel® Brand Advantage Program provide?

The Intel® Brand Advantage Program makes it easy to identify products based on Intel® processors. Licensees may use Intel® logos on specified Eligible Product packaging, in their marketing materials and in some cases on the device. Please refer to the list of Eligible Products below for more information.

+ What device types are Eligible Products in the Intel® Brand Advantage Program?

The Intel® Brand Advantage Program includes the following device categories: building management devices, communications infrastructure devices (wireless infrastructure, routers and switches and accelerators, network security and appliances, connected services gateway, media and voice processing), digital security and surveillance devices, digital signage, electronic devices for media/entertainment, education, transportation or tourism/travel/hospitality, fitness devices, in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) devices, kiosks / automated teller machines (ATM) / retail point of sale (POS), media phones, mobile personal devices, medical devices (imaging, diagnostics and monitoring devices), and print imaging devices. As new device types are approved by Intel they will be added to the program terms and conditions document.

+ What are the requirements for participating in the program?

To participate in the program, a Licensee must be either a manufacturer or a service provider who contracts for the manufacturing of or a reseller who integrates software solutions into and/or contracts for the manufacturing of an eligible product, AND markets and sells Eligible Products direct to end users under the Licensee’s product brand name, or to third parties who resell direct to end users under the Licensee's product brand name. In order to participate, a Licensee must have entered into a Trademark License Agreement and a Corporate Non-disclosure Agreement (CNDA), comply with all the requirements of the Trademark License Agreement, the Program Terms and Conditions and Trademark and Logo Usage Guidelines (TLUGs).

+ What can I do if my product is not an Eligible Product?

The Intel® Brand Advantage Program may be used for co-branding of Eligible Products only. Products that are not included within an Eligible Product category are not eligible for program participation. Note that some customers may have both eligible and non-eligible products. In such cases, participation in the program is limited to Eligible Products only. If you have questions concerning the eligibility of a particular product, please consult the lists of Eligible Products. If you have additional questions, please use the Help page of the site to contact the Program Administrator.

+ Where can licensees use the Intel® logo?

Licensees may use the Intel® logo in their advertising and marketing communications vehicles such as Web, advertising, tradeshow signage, collateral, sales presentations, product packaging, etc. for Eligible Products, and in some cases they may use product labels directly on specified eligible devices.

+ Can all Eligible Products be labeled?

No. Although usage of Intel co-branding on marketing communications is available to all Eligible Products, co-branding with labels placed on devices is permitted on specified Eligible Products only. Please refer to the list of Eligible Products for details on which devices may be labeled.

+ How do I order labels?

Registered Licensees with qualifying Eligible Product categories may order labels via the Intel Online Label Ordering (OLO) System after they receive access to the system as part of enrollment steps.

+ How do I get Intel brand assets?

Registered Licensees may download digital brand resources on the Co-branding Resources tab of the Program website.

+ Is the Intel® Brand Advantage Program a product endorsement by Intel?

Licensee participation in the Intel® Brand Advantage Program is not an endorsement by Intel of any product or advertisement.

+ Who can I contact if I have questions about registration in this program?

Contact the program administrator via email Intel.Brand.Advantage.Program.Administrator@intel.com or call (from the U.S. or Canada) 1-866-678-6794.

+ What are the password rules for creating a new Intel login and registration for this program?

Password Rules:
• The password must be at least eight characters long, and can contain letters, numbers, and punctuation.
• It must not exceed fourteen (14) characters.
• It must contain at least one alpha character [a-z; A-Z].
• It cannot contain spaces.
• The password cannot be the same as any of your previous eight (8) passwords.
• It cannot contain your user name.
• It may not contain any of the following special characters: Asterisk (*) Comma (,) Backslash (/) Forward Slash (\).

+ If I am an Intel Inside® Program Licensee, do I need to join the Intel® Brand Advantage Program to get brand assets for my non-PC products?

Current Intel Inside® Program Licensees need to contact the Intel Inside® Program Office or your Intel Inside® Account Manager to find out how to bridge your participation in both programs.

+ How do I qualify to use Intel® Vpro technology messaging and corresponding marketing materials?

First get your product certified by obtaining a login from EDC, then download and run the Embedded vPRO Verification tool EVT. Finally upload the results of the verification to EVT website for review and certification.

Once certified contact the Program Administrator with a request for this sell-up messaging. Your certification status will be verified and the appropriate messaging and syndicated modules (when available) will be sent directly to you. As a reminder, please use the Intel® masterbrand mark on eligible devices and corresponding marketing materials not the Intel brand ID with vPro™ designation.

+ What are the unique requirements for Licensees to register medical devices in the Intel® Brand Advantage Program?

Licensees with eligible medical devices are required to notify Intel of any adverse actions related to Licensee’s medical devices. Please refer to the Terms & Conditions and Trademark License Agreement for additional details.

+ Does any Intel purchase qualify for this program?

No, only Intel® processors.

Program Eligibility:

To be eligible for this Program, you must answer “Yes” to at least one of the options in question 1 and “Yes” to both question 2 and 3:

1. Are you:

a) a Manufacturer of one of the Eligible Product categories below? Or,

b) a Service Provider who contracts a manufacturer to produce one of the Eligible Product categories for them. Or,

c) a Reseller who contracts a manufacturer to produce one of the Eligible Product categories for them and integrates software into it? AND,

2. Do you market and sell your Eligible Product(s) under your own brand name to end users, or, to third parties who resell direct to end users under you brand name? AND,

3. Is your Eligible Product(s) based on an Intel processor or SoC?


Product Eligibility
To qualify, your product must meet the Eligible Product definitions below:

A building management device based on an Intel® processor that is used in a home or a commercial environment for a broad range of uses, for example: monitoring and managing energy, heating, cooling, security and/or appliances; maintaining and/or controlling operations, systems or processes.

Designed for and marketed primarily to consumers for personal or home use—
Eligible for Intel® masterbrand mark use on device, on package/carton labeling, and in advertising and marketing collateral.

Designed for and marketed primarily to businesses for commercial use—
Eligible for Intel® masterbrand mark use on package/carton labeling, and in advertising and marketing collateral.

Note: Basic storage devices and PC’s are not eligible Communications Infrastructure Devices

A networking device based on an Intel® processor that processes network traffic including voice, video, and/or data packets and information (analog or digital) with one or more of the following functions:

• Wireless infrastructure: bring voice and data services to mobile devices and networks

• Routers and switches and accelerators : route, switch and accelerate network traffic

• Network security and appliances: provide secure, seamless communications and services across network boundaries

• Connected services gateway: enable broadband sharing and security services for devices on home or office LANs

• Media and voice processing: manage video, audio, and/or voice traffic in the network infrastructure

Eligible for Intel® masterbrand mark use on package/carton labeling, and in advertising and marketing collateral.

Network-connected devices based on an Intel® processor that is used for managing real-time physical security, mobile surveillance, after the fact forensic evaluation and/or business intelligence. Examples of basic DSS devices include, but are not limited to: IP Cameras, encoders, transmitters, digital or network video recorders, network access storage or storage area networks, IP decoders, or video analytic servers.

Eligible for Intel® masterbrand mark use on package/carton labeling, and in advertising and marketing collateral.

A remotely managed interactive computer display based on an Intel® processor used for marketing, advertising, and/or information sharing

Eligible for Intel® masterbrand mark use on device, on package/carton labeling, and in advertising and marketing collateral.

An internet connected and/or locally networked device (not a PC) based on an Intel® processor that is designed for one or more of the following: creation, consumption or playback of digital media; video conferencing/collaboration; integration with motion/gesture recognition technologies; delivery of applications, services, entertainment or information on a TV or other display; information and/or services such as: ticketing, business or logistics monitoring of freight shipping, production, field environments, or diagnostics/telematics (Microcontrollers or microcontroller-based devices are not qualified).

Qualifying devices meeting the above definition include, but are not limited to: High Definition Digital TV (HDTV), DVD or Blu-ray disc player, media player, personal video recorder, set top box, companion box, video conferencing, video gateway, commercial digital video cameras, educational devices, travel/tourism/ hospitality devices, transportation devices (often ruggedized for field use) in airplanes, ships, trains, and other vehicles. Qualifying devices meeting the above definition may also support distribution of broadcast, cable, satellite, and/or broadband voice, data and video services in the home or business.

Designed for and marketed primarily to consumers for personal or home use—
Eligible for Intel® masterbrand mark use on device, on package/carton labeling, and in advertising and marketing collateral.

Designed for and marketed primarily to businesses for commercial use—
Eligible for Intel® masterbrand mark use on package/carton labeling, and in advertising and marketing collateral.

A wellness device based on an Intel® processor that delivers one or more of the following: activity programming, activity monitoring, and/or infotainment options with the intent to improve physical fitness/well-being.

Eligible for Intel® masterbrand mark use on device, on package/carton labeling, and in advertising and marketing collateral.

An in-vehicle infotainment device based on an Intel® processor sold through aftermarket, or factory installed in the head end unit or front or rear seat device, that includes two or more of the following: navigation, digital audio, location-based services, connectivity to consumer electronic devices and cell phones, telematics, DVD, streaming video, Internet access, gaming, and/or satellite TV.

Eligible for Intel® masterbrand mark use on device, on package/carton labeling, and in advertising and marketing collateral.

A basic capability device based on an Intel® processor that has any of the following functions: cash dispensing; customer loyalty program support; inventory/information/price lookup with or without follow-up action; personalized greetings; secure transaction capabilities; and, uni- or bi-directional data transmissions.

Eligible for Intel® masterbrand mark use on package/carton labeling, and in advertising and marketing collateral.

A multifunction and/or interactive device based on an Intel® processor with a high-resolution display used for one of the following uses: Find and/or accept information that does not deliver a tangible good (e.g., concierge kiosk); deposit and/or withdraw money (e.g., ATM); accept payments/transact and/or deliver a tangible good or service (e.g., airline ticket kiosk); or, present interactive multimedia content to the public (e.g., self guided building directory), or transact payments for goods and services.

Device functionality/features must include two or more of the following: anonymous video analytics; bill payment options; biometrics-based customer identification; check scanning; customer customizable welcome screens; deposited cash counting; inventory/information lookup followed by product purchase, ordering or hold; multiple graphics/video screens; pay by mobile phone; multiple product and/or service offerings; simultaneous access to multiple customer accounts; speech recognition/talking devices; targeted advertising; or, Intel® vPro™ technology certification/branding (POS).

Eligible for Intel® masterbrand mark use on device, on package/carton labeling, and in advertising and marketing collateral.

A landline-based voice and video telephony device based on an Intel® processor capable of providing wireline voice quality plus quick and easy access to one or more of the following services: Internet connectivity, multimedia entertainment, traffic and weather, e-mail, IM, home security surveillance, baby room monitoring, and/or home utility management.

Eligible for Intel® masterbrand mark use on device, on package/carton labeling, and in advertising and marketing collateral.

A mobile device based on an Intel® processor and built for a broad range of usages including, but not limited to: content consumption, such as viewing videos or photos: reading e-books; listening to music; web browsing; accessing e-mail; social networking; gaming; or running applications. The device must have a touch screen or keyboard for input, wireless capabilities to access the Internet, and a battery. Devices with circuit-switched voice capabilities, such as smartphones, are included. Clamshell form factor netbook & laptop designs without touch screens are specifically excluded from the definition of Mobile Personal Device.

Eligible for Intel® masterbrand mark use on device, on package/carton labeling, and in advertising and marketing collateral.

NOTE: Eligibility of Licensee's medical devices is dependent on Licensee’s ongoing compliance with the Adverse Actions Notice requirements set forth in the Intel® Brand Advantage Program Trademark License Agreement.

A clinical device, based on an Intel® processor, that is approved by the Program Office upon enrollment and has one or more of the following functions:

Imaging: capture, render, manipulate and/or display medical images, including devices such as CT/PET, ultrasound, MRI, digital X-ray.

Diagnostics: diagnose medical conditions, illnesses and/or diseases.

Monitoring: access, store, display, transmit, and/or communicate vital sign measurements and/or biologic parameters of patients from one clinical/medical environment to another clinical/medical environment, where the data has been acquired by a health care professional and is being shared with a health care professional. Note: this specifically excludes devices that are intended to be used by a layman or anyone other than a recognized health care professional, such as a physician or licensed nurse.
